As you may or may not know, I met a friend in New Orleans the weekend after Memorial Day and we went to see Better Than Ezra at the House of Blues. Awesome show!
And, yes, we were that close, only one row of people standing in front of us. The picture above was taken with my cell phone!Cute New Orleans bungalows in the French Quarter...
I just love the architecture there...
Funny sign...
Canal Street with the street cars and tall buildings of downtown...buildings can't be taller than the church in Jackson Square in the French Quarter, so all the big buildings are west of the FQ...
Found another whale wall for my collection...
They had just finished filming something on one of the streets in the French Quarter. The street and sidewalk were completely covered with dirt on Friday when we walked by...and by Sunday it was all cleaned up already!
So let me know if you see this street scene in a movie or TV show...
Look, an antique shop named after my kitty...
Rodrique studio...had to go check out the blue dogs for my Dad...
Of course we had to have beignets...mmm, funnel cake in square form...
Spent our last morning at Jackson Square again, visiting some museums...
Artists around Jackson Square...has to be original art, no prints allowed...
Cool window shot that I liked...
1st museum...small, but very nice...
2nd museum...The Mardi Gras Museum...
Louis Armstrong was King of the Zulu's one year (Carnival Krewe). This is supposedly a coconut he threw...
Outfit that Harry Connick Jr wore when he was King of Bacchus in 1993...
View out the window of the museum, looking down on all the fortune tellers set up in Jackson Square...
Then is was time to go home:(
