The City of Ghent in Belgium (see photo below) is going meatless one day a week, in a effort to reduce greenhouse gas emissions and become healthier. Starting this past week, they have declared Thursdays "Veggie Day." 370 European climate cities may follow their lead. According to FAO, livestock accounts for 18% of greenhouse gas emissions.
