Summer Day Trip #3 - Kid A

Kid A decided she wanted to go to Massenutten, VA to the Adventure and Water Park there.

We rode the ski lift to the top of the mountain.

Then Kid A did some ziplining.

 (yup, that's her...she's just really tiny)

The boys had their own adventure on the ropes course.

Summer Day Trip #2 - Kid C

Our second day trip was to see trains at the railroad museum in Strausburg, PA.  Kid A had a babysitting gig, so Uncle P came along instead.

We stumbled upon Robert Fulton's birthplace on the way there.

We were deep in Amish Country. (Kid C working on his camera skills from a moving car, he almost got the buggy in this one)

First stop, the kiddie ride...but the boys were still allowed to do it.

Then the real train ride!

...through the beautiful PA countryside.

Then it was time to drive a train...or at least pretend to.

Wandering around the outside train yard...

Summer Day Trip #1 - Kid B

Instead of a grand road trip to Wyoming again, I offered to take my niece and nephews on three day trips this summer where they each got to pick a location within 2-3 hours of home.

Kid B was first to declare where he wanted to go - Hershey Park in PA - so off we went for our first day trip.  Of course it rained...it rains EVERY time I go to Hershey Park (and yes, I disclosed this information before we went).

First stop on any road trip?

...Dunkin Donuts!  Where we left a bookcrossing book.

Ride number one, and we haven't even gotten off the ground yet.

Next stop was the zoo, where we spent way too much time watching the prairie dogs, but they were so cute being busy worker bees.

These kids are too young to be driving...

...and too short to actually ride this roller coaster.

Getting in one last ride between the heavy rainfall, back to the first ride.
